Pre-Care

  • Pay close attention to your skincare routine. Products aimed at lightening, brightening, tightening, fading, or preventing aging can significantly affect your permanent makeup results.

Please stop using all chemical exfoliating treatments and products at least 6 weeks before your appointment. This includes, but is not limited to: Retin-A, Retinol, Niacinamide, Benzoyl Peroxide, Kojic Acid, Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), Azelaic Acid, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Glycolic Acid, all acne treatments, and products with high concentrations of citrus fruit acids.

If you are receiving eyebrow or eyeliner services, discontinue the use of eyebrow and eyelash growth serums 6 weeks before your appointment

  • Avoid Botox or filler treatments on your forehead, temples, and around your eyes 2 weeks before your procedure.

Medications such as antibiotics, steroids, or others can affect the healing process and results. Please try to avoid these 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

Stop tinting your eyebrows 14 days before your procedure

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning.

If you’re having eyeliner or lash enhancement procedures, lash extensions must be removed.

For eyeliner or lash enhancements, you’ll need to remove contact lenses before the procedure.

For eyebrow services, we recommend grooming your brows in advance to avoid irritation, but please avoid waxing, tweezing, or threading for at least 72 hours prior.

If you’re receiving lip blushing or watercolor lip services, make sure your lips are exfoliated, healthy, and well-hydrated. If you have a history of cold sores, contact your doctor to start antiviral medication to prevent post-procedure breakouts, which can impact healing.

  • Consult your physician about stopping NSAIDs, Aspirin, Niacin, or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before your procedure. These medications thin your blood, which can cause bleeding during the procedure and hinder pigment retention.

Stop taking Vitamin E, Fish Oil, vitamins, and “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements.

Daily medications for blood pressure, thyroid, or other conditions may affect your results.

  • Avoid working out 24 hours before your procedure.

Refrain from alcohol and caffeine consumption, including decaffeinated drinks, 24 hours prior. Caffeine can thin the blood, which leads to poor pigment retention.

Arrive with a clean, bare face on the day of your appointment. If you’re having eyeliner or lash enhancement procedures, lash extensions should be removed.

Post-Op

(Golden Rules)

  • Use the provided aftercare ointment and wash.

  • Think of it as giving your face a VIP bed, and absolutely no face-planting for 10 days!

  • They’ll flake off naturally. If you pick, you risk scarring or color loss, and no one wants that.

  • Skip the facials, lasers, and any heavy-duty skin work for four weeks.

  • Take it easy on workouts for the first week.

  • No direct sun for 4 weeks post-procedure, so grab a hat when your outside!

  • Swimming, lakes, hot tubs, and saunas are off-limits for 10 day.

  • No makeup or sunscreen on the area while it’s healing (at least 2 weeks). And no brow grooming until they’re done exfoliating.

  • Keep showers short and low-steam. Don’t let water hit your face, and if washing your hair, do it backwards — like a pro!

  • Follow these steps to a T! Skipping them could lead to color loss or scars that are tricky to fix.
